Hello world!

I’m an Australian residing in Singapore. In 1998, I resigned from the Australian Government and moved to Vietnam. For four years, I worked in children’s charities in Ho Chi Minh City earning and raising funds as an international writer on human interest and conservation. From Vietnam, I moved to Singapore with Wilbur my Vietnamese cat who I rescued on his way to the cooking pot.

I continued with my writing and established an entrepreneur start up magazine.  As Editor in Chief I interviewed some of the world’s most high profile people. From interviewing Rudi Giuliani, asking questions to MM Lee Kuan Yew, to business entrepreneur Ho Kwong Ping, to bouncing ideas with Robert Kiyosaki, to sharing personal thoughts with Anita Roddick and having a tête-à-tête over a coffee with Al Ries and Tom Peters.

The language of commerce goes beyond just saying, “G’day mate!” In Chinese there is a word for business connections. It is called, “Guanxi” which means, “In business, it is not about what you know. It is about who you know.” In Indonesian and Malaysian it is, “Abang, ada baik?” which means, “Brother, how are you, and how can I serve you?” In Thailand, it is “Sawadee Kap!” In the Philippines it is, “Mabuhay. Selamat Po!” And Singapore, “Ni hou! How are you?”

A driven entrepreneur I started up my own PR and event management company in Singapore with a focus on personalised service working with a select group of clients.

In nine years in Asia I have built up an extensive network of business contacts and listed as the most connected woman in Asia Pacific on the online business platform linkedin.  Board member of the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry in Singapore which is associated with more than two million women in business globally.

As added value to my clients, I host business networking events and continue to contribute to several news media.

If you are looking to host an event, wish to expand your network in Asia Pacific or require a media or PR campaign then contact me.

I am passionate about philanthropy and in December 2008 went to the Ukraine as part of a global fundraising team of business women with the WIN Foundation. We raised more than USD $100,000 for abandoned children. To me it is about making a positive difference to a child, animal or our beautiful planet.

In my spare time I collect Russian and Australian contemporary artwork and presently writing my first book “Travels with Wilbur”.
